DEPUTY PERMANENT SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
Mr. Ray McCarthy has joined the MPA as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Ag). with effect from 2nd October, 2023.
Mr. McCarthy holds a BSc. in Government (Public Administration) from The University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London, UK. Over the years he has gained extensive experience working at ten Ministries including: the Ministry of National Security, Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Legal Affairs, Ministry of the Environment, Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Human Development Youth and Culture, Ministry of People and Social Development and Service Commissions Department.
Mr. McCarthy prioritises results and resourcefulness and looks forward to contributing in these areas as he assumes duty as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Ag)., responsible for overseeing the Property and Real Estate Services Division (PRESD) and the Strategic Services Division (SSD).
