Government has heeded the call for greater economic diversification, increased productivity and competitiveness and in particular public sector reform. ICT's can provide a platform from which we can undertake these necessary reforms as we continue to make government service delivery more effective and efficient. National Information and Communication Technology Centre Ltd. (NICTC Ltd) is a wholly State-owned Limited Liability Company that will act as the implementation arm of Government in support of the fastforward agenda.
Instruments of appointment were presented to the new National Information and Communication Technology Centre Ltd.(NICTC Ltd) Board of Directors on September 1st 2009. This move demonstrates government's commitment to harnessing the power of ICT towards improved service delivery to Trinidad and Tobago.
Members of the Board of Directors include; Chairperson Mr Joseph Texeira, Mr Ian Chinapoo, Professor Denise Thompson, Mr Maurice Suite, Mr Shaka Subero and Mr Jerry Emritt.
