What is the purpose of the Ministry of Public Administration?
The Ministry of Public Administration has as its ambit, ensuring that the necessary tools to easily maintain a high level of service, to deliver goods efficiently and effectively, and to guarantee that all citizens have equal access to government and services are available to all facets of the Public Service. What is Vision 2020?
Vision 2020 is the national strategic plan which has been put forward to lead Trinidad and Tobago to developed nation status by the year 2020. There are five major Development Pillars which are geared toward the achievement of this goal. These are: Developing Innovative People, Nurturing a Caring Society, Governing Effectively, Enabling Competitive Business and Investing in Sound Infrastructure and Environment. Vision 2020 is based on the belief that every citizen should have equal opportunities for personal growth, self-expression, enjoyment of life and participation in the development process. What has become of the Ministry of Public Administration and Information?
The Ministry of Public Administration and Information (MPAI) which was established in 2001 has been split into two separate entities as of 18th December, 2007. These are the Ministry of Public Administration and the Ministry of Information.


Is there a relationship between the Ministry of Public Administration (MPA) and the Ministry of Information (MoI)?
The Head Office of the Ministry of Information was temporarily located at the Head Office of the Ministry of Public Administration i.e. the National Library Building. During this separation period, Internal Support resources are shared to some extent between the two Ministries for a short time period. The MoI is its own independent Ministry headed by the Honourable Neil Parsanlal. The new Head Office of the MoI is now located at:
